Angoumois Grain Moth

Sitotroga cerealella

The Angoumois grain moth infests several types of grain such as wheat, barley, corn, rice, sorghum and millet in both temperate and tropical regions. The adults are generally smaller than other stored-product moths (Ephestia and Plodia sp.). Adult moths have strongly curved labial palps and are pale grayish brown, having a wingspan of about 12 to 14 mm. Adult moths have a single black dot on the centre of each front wing approximately two-thirds from the wing base.
