Appearance: Dark brown velvet like fur complete with a pale underside of their body. Small eyes and longer pointed snout with rid teeth.

Average Tail Length: 24-44 mm
Average Weight: 5 -12 g

Extra Info: Not technically a rodent despite it's similarities. Excellent sense of smell and hearing with weak vision. Very teritorial only meeting with other shrews to mate or challenge a rival. They utilise ultrasonic frequencies from their squeaks however have no ability to pinpoint objects by use of echolocation, they only use it to gain an understanding of what type of environment they are in. Active Day & Night. They are protected and must not be caught without a licence. Any harm must be minimised to the shrew if a capture is required.
