Message from Tutors:
The flagship RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Control training course is led and tutored by two of the leading independent experts in Pest Control, both well known to many within the industry: Clive Boase (Invertebrates) and Adrian Meyer (Vertebrates).
"Most of the first day (Monday) of the 5-day RSPH Level 2 Award course at the university is dedicated to the topics covered by Unit 3 of the RSPH examination, Legislation and Safety. A full day on these essential background topics sets us up for the species-specific pest control training that fills the remainder of the week.” “Rodent (Rats and Mice) control is the “bread and butter” of the pest control industry and this topic is covered on a Monday evening and through the whole of Tuesday, and includes a short practical visit. Wednesday morning is dedicated to reviews of Urban Bird control and the biology and control of some of the other vertebrate pests (rabbits, moles, squirrels…) required by the syllabus” Adrian Meyer
’’The insects are really important pests for the public and business alike. On my sessions, we take a look at the headline pests including cockroaches, ants, bed bugs, flies, flour beetles and others. We will see how they live, the problems they cause, and how we can prevent and control them. The sessions comprise a mix of presentations, practical work, time on exam questions, and plenty of opportunity for discussion. We aim to provide you with a solid foundation in pest control, on which your career and business can develop and flourish.” Clive Boase.
