Safe use of Aluminium PhosphideFor those that need to use gassing compounds against Moles and Rabbits.

The purchase of Aluminium Phosphide products are tightly controlled and only available to persons who have received bespoke tuition in the use and application of these specific products. This course covers legislation, safe procedures as well as practical demonstrations. 

During this one-day course, you will cover the need for control and site management, Risk and COSHH assessments, better management through understanding biology, breeding and behaviour, alternative control methods, application in accordance with the product label and a practical application session. 

Once you have attended the training day, you will be required to carry out an individual assessment. This is carried out on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th March and takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. The individual assessment is carried out by an independent City and Guilds assessor.

  • RPE: Full face respirator and filters
  • PPE: gloves, coveralls
  • Copies of your own COSHH & RISK assessments

Course Format:

Classroom training, followed by practical application on-site with mole/rabbit examples


City & Guilds

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance and are then eligible for assessment for the City & Guilds level 2. This is often on the following day but must be booked and paid for separately.
